The stone-ground texture gives these discs a real grit that melts slowly, and the guajillo heat creeps up right after the dark chocolate hits your tongue. I broke mine into chunks over vanilla ice cream and it was an unexpectedly perfect combo.
The stone-ground texture gives it a real gritty bite, and the guajillo heat lingers just long enough before the dark chocolate mellows it out. Two discs in a pack felt like a perfect after-dinner treat for us to split.
I wasn't sure about chili in chocolate, but the guajillo heat builds slowly and doesn't overpower the dark cocoa. Only two discs per package, though, so it's gone faster than I'd like.
